Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a passionate engineer to help us architect, build, and maintain the the iOS components of the Titles ecosystem. You are a driven developer who enjoys critically thinking about the best ways to build a new product and who takes ownership in working on a brand new codebase that will be the basis for many products to come. You excel in working with collaborators to make product and design decisions, inventing creative solutions to test hypotheses and deal with ambiguity, and planning your own requirements based on your understanding of the product. You build and iterate quickly and aren't afraid to change course in the face of new information, but you don't sacrifice the maintainability and longevity of your code. You build the infrastructure and environment to support a quickly growing product, team, and company.
What you'll work on:
Build, ship, and own new features in the Titles iOS app.
Contribute across product strategy, feedback sessions, and brainstorming.
Navigate the complexities of building with new and evolving technologies in the consumer space and iOS frameworks.
Collaborate on the software design and architecture of the Titles iOS app.
Build systems for video and audio processing, analysis, and composition.
You might be a good fit if you have:
Extensive experience building iOS apps (Swift preferred).
Experience building and shipping full-fledged products from start to finish.
Experience working with Apple iOS frameworks such as AVFoundation.
Solid conceptual understanding of iOS software development design and architecture paradigms.
Ability to learn quickly and work in areas beyond your core competencies.
Attention to detail, including an appreciation for good documentation, clean code, performance, reliability, and security.
Ability to develop unique perspectives on the future of the Titles product and roadmap based on product feedback and usage.
Experience working at a startup.
Familiarity with mobile video players and common streaming tech.
