The Sandbox is a decentralized, community-driven virtual world where creators can design, share, and monetize in-world assets and gaming experiences. Leveraging blockchain technology, The Sandbox aims to revolutionize the gaming industry by empowering players and creators with true ownership of digital assets through non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

The Sandbox has now over 1,000 user-generated experiences live-published on its virtual map, over 5.8 million users accounts and over 400 partnerships with global brands, including Lionsgate, Hellboy, Magnificent Century, Habbo, Notorious BIG, Warner Music, Ubisoft, Snoop Dogg, Gucci, Magnificent Century, Rabbids, MadBalls, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Paris Hilton, Captain Tsubasa, Maradona, Elvis Presley, Cut The Rope, Habbo Hotel, Agoria, and others.

Reporting to the COO, the Country Manager will lead the business, setting a clear growth strategy while driving revenue and fostering community growth alongside other team members. This role is pivotal in driving market penetration, user engagement, and overall success of our Web3 metaverse in Japan.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the country-specific strategy for Web3 and Metaverse expansion.
  • Align country operations with global objectives and corporate vision.

Operational Management:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the country team, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product development, marketing, legal) to support country-specific projects.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Understand partners' business objectives and challenges to deliver tailored strategies and ensure successful implementation.

Community Engagement:

  • Foster a vibrant and active user community by encouraging content creation and interaction.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure all operations comply with local regulations and industry standards.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 3+ years of senior leadership experience with business to consumer marketing, ideally in gaming and/or technology products, and strong consumer brand sensibilities.
  • Strong understanding of the B to C market.
  • Experience launching new games or UGC service to the public.
  • Proven track record of successful market entry and expansion.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in Japanese and English.
