About the Role:

As our first Director of Creative Production, you’ll spearhead end‑to‑end video and image content for both paid ads and organic social. You’ll work alongside the co-founders ideating scripts and concepts, developing shoot plans, managing in‑house teams and freelancers, and delivering scroll‑stopping assets. Partnering with our Paid Ads Lead, you’ll mine performance data to inform fresh ideas, optimize creative, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Script & Concept Development: Collaborate on writing scripts, storyboards, and shoot treatments for video and static campaigns.
  • Production Leadership: Plan and execute shoots-booking talent, hiring crew (in‑house or freelance), and overseeing filming and editing to deliver polished final assets.
  • Data‑Driven Ideation: Work alongside our Paid Ads Lead to review ad performance metrics and social analytics; generate new creative approaches that improve engagement and ROI.
  • Cross‑Channel Expertise: Bring strong understanding of YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and emerging platforms; offer strategic input on ad formats, lengths, and placements.
  • Team Building & Management: Recruit, onboard, and mentor a growing creative team - videographers, editors, graphic artists - to scale production capacity.
  • Fashion & Culture Passion: Infuse content with your love for fashion, streetwear, trends, and culture to inspire people to choose Tapstitch when building a fashion brand.

What You Bring:

  • 6+ years producing and directing high‑impact video and image content, ideally with some fashion brand experience.
  • Hands‑on expertise managing full‑production cycles: pre‑production, shoot logistics, post‑production, and delivery.
  • Solid grasp of social and video ad performance metrics; comfortable translating data into creative action (Ad launch and management handled by Paid Ads Lead).
  • Strong scriptwriting ability and visual storytelling sensibility - you know how to hook viewers in the first 3 seconds.
  • Experience hiring, leading, and scaling small teams in a fast‑paced environment.
  • True social junkie - you think nothing beats a few hours scrolling TikTok or YouTube for inspiration.

Nice to Have:

  • Background in fashion, streetwear, or lifestyle apparel brands.
  • Familiarity with creative tools (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Canva).
  • Startup experience with tight deadlines, rapid iteration, and resourceful problem‑solving.
