The Senior Technical Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of software delivery across all Suzy products. The role manages both technical and software development projects within our R&D organization, working with our Product, Engineering, Foundation, EXD, and BA teams. This role reports to the Director of PMO
Responsibilities
- Manage full SDLC for technical and software development projects, from planning through launch
- Own Project Management tools, project plans, and project artifacts
- Facilitate all project ceremonies as required by project, including but not limited to daily standups, weekly refinement meetings, sprint planning/kickoff/retrospectives, status meetings, and monthly updates
- Own creation of standard meeting pre-reads, action items, follow-up notes, risk register, and other project communication artifacts to ensure alignment across teams and stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally with product managers, designers, engineers, support, operations, and others to evolve the project teams and their organizational structure
- Adhere to PMO standards and best practices, owning the implementation and management throughout projects and teams.
- Own the standardization of project documentation with other project managers and evolve as needed to fulfill the business needs
- Manage reporting on project KPIs
- Work with resource teams to ensure balanced coverage of projects, ensuring that risks on capacity or over-capacity resources do not interfere with projects - coordinate with team leadership and other project managers as needed to re-balance and communicate impact, escalating as necessary.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvement within our R&D organization and help to drive solution definition, present solutions, and effort/teams required to the Director of PMO for prioritization and implementation
- Facilitate communication with leadership and other key strategy stakeholders, including regular reports and strategy progress meetings
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in managing technical projects
- Experience working on projects and with teams that are highly technical, including foundation/infrastructure upgrades/maintenance, security & compliance, backend architecture planning & execution, and software delivery with heavy emphasis on backend integrations.
- Proficiency in various project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, Lean, etc.) and their appropriate application.
- Skill in examining and re-engineering project lifecycle operations and procedures, formulating best practices, and developing and implementing new strategies to improve efficiency.
- Preferred experience with JIRA, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, and other project/work management tools
- Demonstrated ability to get buy-in from stakeholders and handle change management while communicating effectively across the org
- Possess a thoughtful leadership mindset; operate tactfully and effectively
- Ability to effectively coordinate and guide a large, diverse team of product managers, designers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver projects
- Extensive experience developing short and long-term plans and managing program-level dependencies.

- The target base compensation for this role is $127,500 - $150,000 / yr.
