Role Summary:Pack is seeking a motivated and skilled Technical Support Engineer (TSE) with a strong background in front-end web development to join our growing team.As a Technical Support Engineer focusing on front-end web development, you will be vital in providing exceptional technical assistance to our clients and partners. Your expertise in front-end technologies, particularly React, combined with your strong JavaScript and understanding of HTTP requests, will ensure our clients receive top-notch support and solutions for their modern website needs.Above all, it's crucial for Technical Support Engineers to be detail-oriented, vocal, and unfalteringly optimistic in the face of challenging projects. Responsibilities:
- Provide prompt and effective technical support to clients via various communication channels, including email, phone, and live chat.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot front-end web development issues related to React, JavaScript, and core web technologies.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their technical challenges and provide tailored solutions to their needs.
- Create clear and concise technical documentation, including issue resolution steps, best practices, and FAQs.
- Assist in reproducing, testing, and documenting reported software defects and work with the development team to drive their resolution.
- Develop a strong understanding of the Pack platform and services to provide accurate information and assistance to clients.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in front-end web development to enhance your technical expertise.
- Actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience with React Bootcamps or Code Academies is also welcomed.
- 1+ year of professional experience in providing support for web-based solutions in a customer-facing capacity.
- Solid proficiency in JavaScript and core web technologies (HTTP, HTML, CSS, REST API, and GraphQL).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-centric approach.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and assist colleagues when needed.
- Enthusiasm for learning and staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with debugging tools and techniques for front-end development.
- Experience with React UI testing frameworks and patterns
- Experience building or supporting custom Shopify Themes
- Experience building or supporting custom Headless websites
- Experience with Tailwind and TypeScript is a big plus
