As a Receiving Lead at Misfits Market, you will be responsible for managing a diverse and talented warehouse team. Your primary goal is to properly organize staff members and achieve a reasonable workflow throughout the day. Your position will also include directing, managing disciplinary action, training and developing warehouse team members.

You Will:

  • Enforces company policies and guidelines
  • Assists team members by offering personal growth opportunities
  • Implements cost-saving strategies and techniques
  • Oversee the daily function of all team members and take ownership for the completion of each function within the Shipping and Receiving department
  • Ensure trucks are received correctly and follow up with the team to ensure they are following the correct receiving procedures
  • Ensure outbound trucks are shipped correctly and make sure the pallets are loaded on the correct trailer
  • Maintain the shipping and receiving docks, pallet storage area and box room, keeping them clean and in order
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Evaluates the condition of warehouse equipment and contacts appropriate sources for repairs
  • Counsels team members on how to achieve an optimal output or workflow
  • Resolves issues and disputes between team members
  • Creates and maintains work schedules, tracks attendance, and takes disciplinary action as needed
  • Communicates with and assists other departments as needed

You have:

  • 1 year of previous lead experience in a warehouse/distribution center
  • Lean Manufacturing experience (a plus)
  • Excellent coaching and communication skills
  • Ability to track expenses and compile budget reports
  • Broad knowledge of shipping, receiving, logistics
  • Experience demonstrating process improvement plans
  • Strategic planning skills
  • Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary service to all departments

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday 5am - 1:30pm
