Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicates with all co-workers while still embodying our values. Provides employees guidance on how to properly perform their task.
  • Support and follow direction from all managers and supervisors and complete tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Maintains quality standards by approving incoming products that conforms to specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable products within a short time frame.
  • Maintains quality standards by approving in-process production that conforms to specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to facility leadership.
  • Maintains quality standards by approving raw & finished products that conforms to specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
  • Maintains quality standards by removing all products that fail to meet specifications.
  • Monitor operations & recommend process improvements to meet standards.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Accomplishes organizational mission by completing related results as needed
  • Responsible for the performance and productivity of their team
  • Train new employees on standard operating procedures, Safety guidelines, and GMPs.
  • Performs duties to support the operations of production, warehouse and inventory teams.
  • Report any potential safety hazards or repair needs to supervisor or management
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Communicate with other cross-functional departments in order to collaborate and solve problems especially prep leads
  • Report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action

Details and Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Quality Supervisor
  • Starting pay $21/hr
  • Position based out of our Walnut, CA Warehouse
  • Schedule: Saturday 7:00am-3:30pm; Sunday - Wednesday 12pm - 8:30pm.
  • Basic produce knowledge
  • Proficient in computer systems (Microsoft Office, Google Sheets)
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to count and basic math skills
  • Ability to stay focused, work efficiently, and deliver results both alone and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work standing for 8+ hours
  • Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment (38°F)
  • Packing or assembly line experience
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Certification in forklift operation preferred, but not required

About You:

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain and teach methodologies.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to analyze information & data.
  • Analytical, logical thought process and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to use and maintain inspection equipment.
  • Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures.
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to problem-solve and think on your feet (A.K.A. a mental juggler)
  • Excels at independent, unsupervised work
