About the Role

We are looking for a Sr Compensation Manager to help us attract, retain, and motivate the best talent by providing analysis, consultation, and insight for compensation and total rewards-related matters. The Sr Compensation Manager will work cross-functionally and collaborate in planning, developing, implementing, communicating, and administering compensation programs and mechanics that support LendingClub’s overall strategy. Your work will touch day-to-day administration, benchmarking, short and long-term incentives, survey analysis, compensation processes and more. This role will report directly to the SVP, Total Rewards & People Operations.

What You'll Do

  • Support the day-to-day administration of our compensation programs, i.e., requestion approvals, offer approvals, job matching, etc.
  • Provide expertise on all critical compensation programs and processes such as our bi-annual compensation cycles, pay equity, compensation guidelines, job families, annual salary review, and equity refresh program
  • Lead efforts to support market-based compensation survey participation, annual compensation benchmarking, and market research review process
  • Enable self-service and automation wherever possible
  • Participate in a variety of HR and compensation-related projects, including ad-hoc studies, projects, and analysis
  • Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, for measurement and tracking of key compensation and recruiting-related metrics to help inform, influence, support, and execute business decisions
  • Facilitate the administration of the incentive compensation review and payment processes

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, HR, Business or related discipline; or equivalent work experience
  • 6+ years of related experience
  • Strong understanding of compensation fundamentals including job evaluation methodologies, market pricing, equity mechanics, bonus/incentive and commission plan development, comp structures, pay ranges, comp analysis, testing, auditing, and reporting
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven time management skills and an ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated, detail orientated and have a high level of organization
  • You have strong analytical skills with the ability to effectively interpret data and create meaningful, understandable models, reports and metrics
  • Proficient in Excel and Workday experience a plus!

San Francisco

We are currently working a hybrid schedule and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Compensation

The target base salary range for this position is 140,000-160,000. The position is also eligible to receive a bonus (which is based on company performance, employee performance and eligible earnings), equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges, other compensation and benefits offered are determined by role, experience level and location.
