About the Role

LendingClub is looking for a Business and Operational Risk and Control Manager to join our Business Risk & Controls team. This position will report to the VP of Business Risk & Controls for the Lending and Banking area and will be responsible for assisting and driving the implementation of a First Line of Defense risk management function for LendingClub’s Lending Businesses.

What You'll Do

  • Act as Risk and Control subject matter expert to the Business Line, providing sound guidance that is based on regulatory requirements/ risk management principles and supports effective and efficient operational processes
  • Assist the Business Line with issue, incident, and Operational Loss Event escalation
  • Work with Business Managers and Partners to identify and document issues, root cause analysis, and assist in development of comprehensive and sustainable remediation plansDesign effective and efficient controls that support internal policies and demonstrate compliance and sustainability
  • Liaison/Consult with Legal, Risk, and Compliance to identify, articulate, and assess impact of all regulatory and operational risks
  • Support the ongoing enhancement and maintenance of the Lending RCSA program
  • Assure Business Line compliance with internal policies and procedures

About You

  • 4+ years of professional experience in a risk management function within in a FinTech or Financial company
  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in a related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Strong project management skills with experience delivering high quality results in tight deadline environments
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment

Work Location

Lehi, San Francisco

We are currently working a hybrid schedule and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.


Time Zone Requirements

Local hours (PT, MT)

Travel Requirements

As needed travel to San Francisco/Boston/Lehi/New York.

Compensation

The target base salary range for this position is 82,000-125,000. The position is also eligible to receive a bonus (which is based on company performance, employee performance and eligible earnings), equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges, other compensation and benefits offered are determined by role, experience level and location.
