About the Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, fun, talented and growing business unit finance team and will be a pivotal part of our transformation in becoming the first digitally native marketplace bank. We are looking for a top-notch finance professional to lead financial and strategic decision support with strong business partnership for one or more of our Consumer Lending, Banking and Operations business units. This individual will support the organization’s business and finance leadership teams on financial analytics, planning and reporting related to performance for one or more financial services lines of business. S/he will drive decision support, business analytics and employ technical acumen to automate reporting and drive continuous improvement. The best fit for this role is a person who is commercially oriented, analytically minded, technologically savvy and an excellent communicator who enjoys collaborating with people who possess a diverse set of talents.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and individually own all aspects of end to end financial planning, performance management, and budgeting for one or more lines of business

  • Lead and facilitate formulation of business unit strategy through a strategic long range planning process

  • Routinely lead ad-hoc analyses and execution for finance and business leadership teams around business growth, profitability, and efficiency opportunities

  • Support company-wide finance initiatives including preparation for quarterly Board of Directors meetings, earnings releases and regulatory examinations

  • Complete financial modeling and support due diligence on M&A and strategic partnership activities

  • Perform regular variance, month-end close, and quarter-end reporting as well as other FP&A deliverables

About You

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in FP&A / Strategic Finance at a bank, financial services, or technology company

  • BA / BS Degree with Finance/ Accounting / Economics concentration, MBA preferred

  • Demonstrable problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills; strategic and critical thinking

  • Ability to partner cross functionally with partners across an organization

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with and challenge business partners using an analytically-driven approach

  • Must be a self-starter, able to work independently, as well as work in a collaborative and fast paced environment

  • Intellectually curious

  • Proven track record of success in prior roles

  • Strong Excel modeling and PowerPoint knowledge and aptitude

  • Strategic thinker and modeler

  • Expert systems skills with experience in Anaplan a plus

  • Prior experience with Tableau and SQL a plus

Work Location

San Francisco or Lehi

We are currently working a hybrid schedule and our teams are in-office Tuesdays and Wednesday.


Time Zone Requirements

Primarily local time (PST or MST).

Compensation

The target base salary range for this position is 82,000 - 125,000. The position is also eligible to receive a bonus (which is based on company performance, employee performance and eligible earnings), equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges, other compensation and benefits offered are determined by role, experience level and location.
