About the Role:
Latch is looking for a Maintenance Technician with experience in the residential and/or manufactured-housing real estate industry. The Maintenance Tech will work under the direct supervision of the Property Manager. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs throughout our portfolio of multifamily and manufactured-housing communities in and around Boston and the greater-Boston area. In addition, this person will help oversee grounds maintenance. Responsibilities:

  • Perform minor building repairs including but not limited to BASIC HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting as necessary;
  • If the above repair is too complicated, the tech will assist with meeting the correct vendor
  • Implement preventative maintenance measures
  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
  • Complete inspections of residential properties
  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
  • Provide access for vendors, or meet vendors to receive deliveries as necessary
  • Perform other maintenance duties as requested

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including snow blowers, lawn mowers and small hand tools
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
  • Able to work well with minimal supervision
  • Self-Starter
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
  • Driver’s license required & ability to drive
