About the Role:
We are seeking a Security Automation Specialist Role integrating security practices with IT operations. The ideal candidate will be at the forefront of our mission to fortify our information security landscape through innovative automation solutions. The role will be pivotal in transforming security processes by designing, developing, and implementing automated scripts, workflows, and tools.
Responsibilities:
- Automation Solution Development:
- Design, develop, and implement automated scripts, workflows, and tools to enhance information security processes, including vulnerability management, incident response, and access control.
- Collaborate with security analysts and engineers to understand requirements and translate them into efficient automation solutions.
- Integrate security tools and technologies into automated workflows to enhance overall security posture.
- Scripting and Coding:
- Write scripts and code to automate repetitive security tasks and data analysis.
- Use programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash) to create custom automation solutions.
- Leverage APIs to integrate different security tools and systems.
- Workflow Optimization:
- Identify manual processes and tasks that can be automated to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
- Develop strategies for workflow optimization and implement automation solutions to achieve those goals.
- Continuous Monitoring:
- Implement automated monitoring solutions to detect and respond to security events in real-time.
- Set up alerts and notifications for unusual activities or potential breaches.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Develop automated methods to analyze security data and generate actionable insights and reports.
- Create dashboards that provide a visual representation of security metrics and trends.
- Collaboration and Training:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs for automation and provide guidance on best practices.
- Train and educate colleagues on using and maintaining automated solutions.
- Documentation:
- Maintain thorough documentation of automation processes, scripts, and configurations.
- Ensure that documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
Requirements:
- More than 2 years of experience coding in languages such as Python, PowerShell, or others relevant to automation.
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies, including SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Knowledge of APIs and integration methods for connecting different systems.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to translate security requirements into automated workflows.
- Excellent analytical skills to identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
