Marketing and Communications Associate

Job Summary:
The Marketing and Communications Associate will be responsible for managing Kashable’s social media platforms, website, and both external and internal communications. This role will also lead strategic marketing initiatives and ensure cohesive messaging and design across all channels. This role involves collaborating closely with our fractional CMO, as well as our Co-Founders and Co-CEOs, to execute key marketing strategies and support a range of projects that align with Kashable’s mission and brand.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support coordination with PR, brand, UGC, and content agencies by participating in meetings, taking notes, and ensuring effective collaboration and alignment across initiatives.
- Work closely with our fractional CMO and Kashable’s Co-Founders and Co-CEOs to support strategic direction, marketing priorities, and brand positioning.
- Lead organic social media strategy & execution, overseeing content development, publishing, and performance tracking across LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook.
- Draft and set up B2B and B2C email campaigns in our marketing system, including copywriting, segmentation, testing, and scheduling.
- Digital marketing support including developing video and image concepts, writing design briefs, and supplying supporting ad copy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, account management, and compliance to understand business goals and communication requirements.
- Track and report to senior management on marketing performance through weekly reporting and ongoing analysis.
- Monitor trending news, industry developments, and relevant cultural moments to identify opportunities for timely and engaging content.
- Draft short- and long-form content, including blogs, newsletters, email campaigns, flyers, and other marketing collateral.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to test and grow marketing campaigns.
- Provides strategic recommendations for testing and optimizing campaigns.
- Assist in the planning and execution of internal and external events, including educational seminars, conferences, roundtables, speaking engagements, and tradeshows.
- Perform additional strategic marketing projects and tasks as needed to support the company’s growth and visibility.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that may include public speaking and presentations.
- Strong understanding of and skills in social media platforms.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, basic video editing, social media platforms, Figma, Microsoft Office, and Canva; familiarity with Iterable, Hubspot, and WordPress.
Work Location:
- This is a hybrid position based in New York, NY, requiring candidates to be in the office 3–4 days per week.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related roles.
- Experience in marketing within the financial services industry is preferred.
- Experience working with leadership and external agencies to execute marketing strategies is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

The pay range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 annually. The actual base salary will depend on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, job-related knowledge and skill level. We welcome all qualified candidates who are currently eligible to work full-time in the United States to apply.
