About the Role

The People Experience Generalist plays a pivotal role in shaping a high-performance workplace culture by cultivating the employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the People Operations and Culture Manager, the People Experience Generalist will provide support to the people function in areas of recruitment, people operations, benefits, vendor management, and internal events to day-to-day office operations.

The ideal candidate is a reliable, organized, people-savvy individual, capable of managing different projects and initiatives while helping build company culture and camaraderie. The People Experience Generalist is a key member of the People Team, driving initiatives that make a real impact across the company.

Key Responsibilities

People Support (80%)

  • Manage our people systems and support HR compliance and recordkeeping, including time-off and attendance tracking. Act as a point of contact for our Payroll team, and provide oversight on employee changes.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide administrative support throughout the employee life cycle from coordinating interviews, to leading the onboarding and offboarding programs, and maintaining training materials.
  • Maintain and promote our creative and passionate culture by supporting internal efforts on projects including employee swag, employee culture events, employee led committees, and other company meetings.
  • Support the team with ad-hoc projects for benefits, vendor management, people processes, as needed.

Office Administration (20%)

  • Maintain an organized office environment by managing office inventory, answering phones, coordinate visitors access, and handling vendors and service providers, as needed.
  • Liaise with building management and ensure swift resolution of any office issues, as needed.

Skills We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources or People Operations roles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with Google Workspace is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • You are a strong communicator, are extremely detail-oriented, and resourceful.
  • You are innovative, proactive, and come up with multiple solutions when faced with a challenge.
  • You are flexible and can adapt quickly to any situation and are comfortable escalating issues.
  • You are organized and keep track of multiple projects at once.
  • You have a passion for people and a "forever learning" mindset.
  • You are approachable to employees and can build trusted relationships across varying levels.
  • Experience working with HRIS and ADP systems is a plus.

Location: This is an in-office role. You will be expected to join our team in person in Midtown, New York City for 4-5 days a week.
