What You Will Do

Join Kashable as a dynamic and highly motivated VP Finance to take charge of our key financial processes, heading the Finance & Accounting team, and reporting directly to the CEO. We are looking for an individual who is a proactive team player, hands-on with strong attention to detail, works well with limited supervision, and who thrives in a rapidly changing environment. The ideal candidate will be eager to drive impactful change within our organization and excited to elevate the finance and accounting functions to support our company's growth trajectory.

● Investor Facing:

• Produce and deliver updates to existing investors including board decks, financial reporting, and forecasting.
• Provide pivotal support in future fundraising processes such as participating in pitches, preparing and maintaining materials for data rooms and presentations.

● Lender Facing:

• Manage senior, sub, mezzanine lender relationships including draws on our credit line, borrowing base production, generation of monthly reporting and compliance certificates.
• Lead negotiations on amendments and renewals, and manage periodic collateral audits.

● Bank Partner Facing:

• Orchestrate financial processes relating to bank partners for loan origination including loan participation purchases and ongoing reporting.

● Audit & Internal:

• Supervise annual financial audits of all Kashable entities.
• Maintain and develop policy documentation, and process narratives.
• Engage with external consultants and auditors to refine accounting processes and reports.
• Support regulatory audits and other inquiries

Skills We Are Looking For

● Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Math, Economics, or a related field

● Minimum of 7 years of experience in Finance or Accounting (e.g., corporate finance, consulting, audit, or investment banking)

● An analytical and curious personality and an interest in learning about fintech

● Deep and functional understanding of GAAP accounting and corporate finance concepts

● Expert skills in Excel and proficient in PowerPoint

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders

● A commitment to detail and accuracy

● Ability to learn quickly, iterate based on data, and work efficiently in a fast paced environment

● Gritty, adaptable, and self-motivated

● Willingness to get in the weeds with no task being too small

Nice to Have

● Experience with accounting and reporting for a lending business (esp. consumer loans)

● Familiarity with analytical software tools like Python/Jupyter Notebook

● Experience as auditor at CPA firm

● Familiarity with Sage Intacct software
