We are seeking a strategic, experienced, and results-oriented Senior Manager of Program Management – AI to lead cross-functional initiatives in the development, deployment, and scaling of Artificial Intelligence solutions across Compass. This role is pivotal in orchestrating complex AI programs from inception through execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and technical feasibility.

The ideal candidate brings strong program management expertise, a deep understanding of AI technologies, and the ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams in a dynamic and evolving environment.

*This position is required to work from our Seattle or Bellevue, WA office one day every other week, and occasionally for special events.

At Compass You Will:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of high-impact AI programs, ensuring on time project delivery. This role is a player / coach role, you will establish the vision and execute the plan.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to define program goals, success metrics, and deliverables.
  • Build and maintain program roadmaps, status reports, and executive-level communications.
  • Drive process improvements and scalable practices in AI project management.
  • Manage and mentor a team of program managers and cross-functional leads.
  • Identify and resolve blockers that impact AI project execution and team productivity.
  • Serve as a thought partner and strategic advisor to leadership on AI investment and execution strategies.

What We Are Looking For:

  • 8+ years of experience in program or product management, including 3+ years leading AI or machine learning programs.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex, cross-functional programs simultaneously.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies, lifecycles, and organizational implementation strategies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Experience working in agile, matrixed, and global team environments.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Smartsheet) and reporting dashboards.
  • Technical background in computer science, data science, or engineering.
  • Experience working with generative AI, LLMs, or responsible AI practices.
  • PMP, Agile, or Scrum certifications.
  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, government) a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is $147,000 - $209,500; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonuses and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits. Base pay is based on market location. Minimum wage for the position will always be met.
