The Role You’ll Play

As a Software Engineer I, Frontend on the Platform squad at Mindbody, you’ll contribute to building and maintaining the foundational frontend platform that powers all product development teams. Your work will enable engineers across the company to build faster, ship more confidently, and deliver best-in-class user experiences at scale.

This growth-oriented, entry-level role is perfect for engineers starting their careers: you’ll gain hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks, automate delivery through Azure DevOps pipelines, and build a solid grounding in core AWS services—giving you depth today and room to branch out tomorrow.

You’ll Likely Spend Time On

  • Collaborating with engineers, Product, and QA to build tools, frameworks, and processes that make our frontend ecosystem scalable and reliable.
  • Developing platform-level capabilities such as shared tooling, performance monitoring, or accessibility standards —not just application features.

  • Contributing to internal libraries and developer experience tooling that improve how engineers build UI across the company.

  • Participating in design and code reviews, team events, and cross-functional initiatives.

  • Learning and applying best practices in testing, CI/CD, modular architecture, and observability.

  • Gaining exposure to backend systems and APIs to support your growth toward full stack development

Experience You Bring

  • 0–2 years of experience through school, internships, bootcamps, or personal projects.

  • Familiarity with frontend development using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and React.

  • A basic understanding of how frontend and backend systems communicate (e.g., REST APIs, GraphQL).
  • Comfort using Git and understanding version control workflows.

  • Interest in working on infrastructure, developer experience, and internal tooling.

Bonus Experience(not required, but helpful to have)

  • Exposure to or interest in configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience with frontend testing tools like Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright.

  • Curiosity about backend technologies, databases, or API design.

  • Backend service development, especially with C# and .net.

  • Familiarity with performance optimization, accessibility, or modular architecture.

Technologies You’ll Work With

  • Languages & Frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js

  • Tooling: Azure DevOps (ADO) for version control, task management, and CI/CD

  • Testing: Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright

  • Collaboration: Slack, Notion, Miro, Azure DevOps
