Abou our client

NoScrubs is building the fastest laundry delivery service in the U.S. — and is looking for a City Manager to launch and run DFW.

This is a rare startup ops role where the selected candidate will run a full market like it’s their own business: hiring, building, growing, fixing. As the City Manager, this individual will report directly to the CEO and shape how the company expands nationally. As the first expansion lead, the City Manager will have full ownership of Dallas/Fort Worth—from launching new locations to building local partnerships and ensuring customers fall in love with the NoScrubs experience.

The ideal candidate will thrive if energized by ambiguity, able to quickly prioritize, move fast, and obsessed with making things work better every day. Major hustle, hard work, and creativity will be expected to improve operations and customer service in Dallas in preparation for national expansion. Google “Earnest Shackleton job posting.”

The role

NoScrubs is looking for a Founding Operations Manager to lead all aspects of the DFW market (with support from the rest of the team). This is the first expansion market, so the company expects the City Manager to be able to wrangle the ambiguity and prioritize effectively to run the market efficiently. This role reports to the CEO. Naturally, many responsibilities will arise and be eligible for ownership at this early stage. Major hustle, hard work, and creativity are expected to improve operations and customer service in Dallas in preparation for expanding nationally. Google “Earnest Shackleton job posting” – this is the modern-day equivalent 😊

Compensation will be significantly equity-weighted. The company offers health benefits and free laundry service.

Values & Qualitative:

  • Customer Love: staying customer obsessed, anticipating customer needs, and listening attentively to every customer signal will get the team far
  • Touch Grass: no one is above any task at the company
  • Ownership & bias to action: there is far too much to do to have people waiting for assignments. Proactively identifying and taking on projects is paramount to execute fast. Mistakes of commission are 100% fine (most things are two-way doors), but mistakes of omission are not ideal

Who NoScrubs Is Looking For

The ideal candidate has likely worked at a startup or scrappy team where speed, ambiguity, and doing-whatever-it-takes were the norm. They may have launched new markets, built teams, or solved messy ops problems from scratch. They’re not afraid of leadership — in fact, they lean into it. This individual will effectively be the CEO of the DFW market. Preferred qualifications include:

  • Startup experience – familiarity with building using limited resources
  • Leadership chops – whether formal or informal, has led people or projects and thrived with ownership
  • Delivery/logistics/gig economy background – bonus if there’s experience with Instacart, DoorDash, Uber, Favor, Shipt, Lyft, Gopuff, or similar
  • 4–10 years of experience – though what’s been built matters more than a resume

Below are some of the known areas of ownership. Step 1 – get in touch if interested :)

All of the following should be ways people describe the candidate: hustler, outgoing, energetic, scrappy, relentless

  • Scrubber onboarding and management – maintain the pool of Scrubbers, provide feedback, and constantly improve the Scrubber app
  • Location partnerships – visit and onboard laundry location partners. Improve operating locations for optimal Scrubber and customer service
  • Growth tactics and hustle – stay connected to the DFW scene: communities to engage, businesses to partner with, and events to participate in
  • Logistics – work with various delivery and robotics partners to integrate them into the NoScrubs operating model
  • Customer Service – assist with inbound customer outreach, investigate, and root cause analyze customer order issues
  • Proactive project identification and ownership – this is a ground floor opportunity to drive improved operations, enhance customer experience, and build the foundation for national expansion. Ambitious individuals will identify areas for improvement and lead them to fruition
