The Opportunity
Gersh is seeking an assistant to support its Comedy Touring Department in Los Angeles. This is a highly motivated and detail-oriented role that involves working closely with agents and assistants in the Touring Department.
Primary responsibilities include assisting with contract administration, tracking authorizations and correspondence, monitoring payments and deadlines, and analyzing discrepancies.
The ideal candidate has an interest in learning the comedy touring business, can manage changing priorities, provide administrative support in a high-pressure environment, and work effectively within a team. This floating role requires strong math and analytical skills.
📍 This position is on-site at the Beverly Hills office, 5 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and monitor personal appearance contracts, deposits, and final figures.
- Manage ticket counts for shows and assist with research as needed.
- Support special projects, including preparing agents for trade shows and conferences.
- Manage a high volume of phone calls and emails.
- Communicate professionally with internal staff, talent, managers, and purchasers.
- Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make sound decisions efficiently.
- Cover desks when primary assistants are unavailable.
Qualifications & Skills
✔ Bachelor’s degree required.
✔ Strong math and analytical skills.
✔ Experience in Personal Appearance/Concert/Touring/Live Events (preferred).
✔ Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
✔ Prior talent agency experience in the Personal Appearance/Concert/Touring/Live Events department (preferred).
✔ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
✔ Superior time management and multi-tasking abilities.
✔ Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
✔ Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills.
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
✔ Commitment to a 1.5 - 2 year tenure and strong interest in upward mobility on the agent track in Comedy Touring (preferred).
